Dr. Khanna is an Assistant Profesor of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, San Diego, with a subspecialty focus on functional and stereotactic neurosurgery. His clinical work focuses on brain tumors, deep brain stimulation for movement disorders, and the surgical treatment of epilepsy. His research work focuses on translational neurotechnologies to enable high-resolution electrophysiology from human neural tissue, as well as using these recordings to investigate the neural basis of language and cognition. Dr. Khanna earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University. He completed his medical degree at Harvard Medical School and neurosurgery residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital, followed by subspecialty training in functional and stereotactic neurosurgery at Stanford.
