Financial Information

Tuition & Fees

The total program cost is approximately $45,000, covering all instruction and campus-based administrative fees. This self-supporting program receives no state or federal funding. Once approved for the 2026-27 academic year, a detailed breakdown of program fees and campus based fees will be published on the UC San Diego Campus Registrar's website. Additional expenses such as books, parking, health insurance, and other incidentals are not included. Tuition fees are assessed each quarter, based on the number of units (courses) students enrolled in, and are due for payment by the quarterly registration deadline before the first day of instruction. Program fees are the same for all students, regardless of residency or citizenship status. All fees are subject to change as determined by the University of California.

Financial Aid & Loans

Government loans are available for U.S. citizens and permanent residents enrolled in at least six (6) units per quarter. Private loans from commercial banks are also an option. Admitted students can find more details through the UC San Diego Financial Aid and Scholarships Office.

Veterans Benefits

If you are or will be utilizing veterans’ educational benefits to fund your degree, contact the School Certifying Official (SCO) at vao@ucsd.edu for information regarding whether the overall program fee is covered or includes fees that are not covered.

Admissions Deposit

A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is required upon accepting an admission offer. This amount will be applied toward the first quarter’s tuition.
